Internal medicine:
- Practical approach to understanding and manipulating the Renin-Angiotensin-Aldosterol System (RAAS) in Chronic Kidney disease (CKD), Hypertension, and Proteinuria (2 hours)
- Proteinuria and Protein-Losing Nephropathies (PLN)
Diagnosing and managing proteinuria; PLN diagnostics, therapeutics, and prognostic considerations (2 hours) - Systemic Hypertension – Best practices for blood pressure measurement, and when to initiate treatment comparing all types of antihypertensive agents along with strategies for managing hypertensive crises. (1 hour)
- Chronic Kidney Disease – A Comprehensive practical approach to IRIS staging, therapeutic strategies to mitigate disease progression, and management of common complications such as hyperkalemia, acidosis, and anemia. Practical case-based discussions will reinforce key concepts. (2 hours)
Cardiology:
- Congestive Heart Failure Diagnosis and Management – acute, chronic and refractory case management
- Pulmonary Hypertension – diagnosis and treatment, case examples will be provided to further distinguish between pulmonary disease with pulmonary hypertension vs. cardiogenic pulmonary edema
- Arrhythmia Identification and Treatment
- Approach to Asymptomatic Degenerative Valve Disease and Dilated Cardiomyopathy
