    About Elounda

Elounda Bay, located on the northeastern coast of Crete, is a uniquely charming destination. Elounda Bay is naturally sheltered, offering calm, turquoise waters perfect for swimming, snorkeling, and sailing. The sea here is often warmer and more placid than in other parts of Crete.

Staying in Crete as a hub for exploring other locations can be a great choice, especially if you’re aiming for a mix of local island charm, historical sites, and accessibility to mainland Greece or nearby islands

    • Athens – 1-hour direct flight from Heraklion Airport (often multiple flights per day).

If you wish to explore Crete and areas local to our conference venue, we recommend you consider renting a car.

    Hotel Accommodations:

Porto Elounda – Hotels & Resorts

The Porto Elounda Golf & Spa Resort is a luxurious, resort destination nestled along the pristine shores of Mirabello Bay.

There are three hotels at the resort:

    1. Porto Elounda – our conference is being held in the main building
    2. Elounda Peninsula – walking path available to Porto Elounda
    3. Elounda Mare – if you stay here, please note, you will need to drive to Porto Elounda, there is not a walking path to get from Elounda Mare to the site of the conference at Porto Elounda

Use code VETQUEST for a 5% discount on room nights booked through June 11th – June 15th. A minimum 3 night stay is required by the hotel for the discount code to apply. The discount code will be made live by the hotel in July 2025. Book early to reserve your spot! Alternatively, consider a local vacation rental!
